52 weeks was the Beginning of a New Beginning ! 52 weeks ago today, ES was able to see his son for the first time in 32 days ! It was a bittersweet day filled with joy, but also with an underlay of sadness as he was to return his son to the egg donor. He returned his son to the appointed place at the appointed time. But his son was not happy and screamed and cried all night for his father. The next day ES received a phone call to ask if he wanted a sleepover so arrangements were made and ES brought his son home. The next day, toiletries and medicine were dropped  and she was NEVER seen again !
She left this province and traveled 2 800 kilometres without telling anyone. The first her parents knew was when her work [WCB] phoned to ask why she wasn't at work ! She had 'borrowed' $2 500 from the employee fund for an emergency ! She told her father she had to go back because of an 'emergency'  and that she would  be back to pick up her son.
So where is she now ?? The 'love of her life' has a new girlfriend. She no longer has a car [ ya know when you buy a car ya hafta make payments or they will track you down and repossess it ! ] She posted the transmission was shot --- NOT ! Her phone was not 'stolen'  Ya haft pay for your phone ! So now her credit rating is shot, and according to her mother she is living in a basement suite- a hole she personally wouldn't let a dog live in, with a single mother, babysitting her kids.  Apparently she can see her daughter.
Her mother made arrangements with the paternal grandmother and flew out to see her  7 year old granddaughter for  only the second time without telling the egg donor. She paid a surprise visit to where she is living. It was polite, but there  was no concern that her father has prostate cancer or a mass in his bowel. " Oh , he'll get over it ."
Our grandson sees his maternal grandparents who have acknowledged that ES is doing a good job in raising his son. ES has told them that he has not done it alone. There is no comparison today to that scared confused little boy of last year. He has grown physically, emotionally and intellectually. He is secure. In short, he is thriving !
We are so thankful that our son fought for his son. We are thankful that ED found a good family law lawyer who guided and fought for ES. We are thankful that ED opened  her house ro provide a loving safe place for both of them. We are thankful.
